Government funding for childcare has recently expanded to offer funded (free) childcare places to families on low incomes (from work or benefits) as well as to families of working parents earning under £100K each.

Please note that here at My Montessori Way, we are open 48 weeks a year as opposed to school term -time opening which is 38 weeks of the year. As we are open year round, please note that we offer funded places on a stretched basic only, this means you can receive:

Up to 12 or 24 hours a week (depending on the funding scheme you have applied for) rather than the standard 15 and 30 hours that applies to settings open only 38 weeks of the year.

Stretched funding applies for 48 weeks per year and exclude 2 weeks in Christmas and 2 weeks at the end of August (we are closed)

Additional Services

For children accessing funded hours, an Additional Service Charge is applied per funded hour. At My Montessori Way, we set a standard hourly rate for each child’s place, and this supplementary charge allows us to maintain the high standard of education we provide.

This contribution supports a wide range of enriched experiences, such as cookery sessions, Spanish lesson, clay and creative art activities, and open snack times throughout the day. It also covers essential consumables, including paper towels, gloves, and summer sun cream. In addition, it helps fund ongoing staff development and ensures children are guided by fully Montessori‑trained educators.
